Scale Scout is operated by Veianya Hansen ("we", "us"). Veianya Hansen is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can contact us about privacy at any time through the support address shown on our payment receipts.

What we collect

Scale Scout is designed for children and asks for no account. Game progress, badges, and unlock status are stored only on your own device and never sent to us.

• Purchase information — when an adult buys the full collection, our payment partner Paddle collects the buyer's name, email address, and payment details to process the order.
• Restore requests — if you use "Restore purchase", we use the email address you type only to look up your past order.
• Technical data — basic device and usage information (such as IP address and error logs) may be processed by our hosting provider to keep the service secure and running.

Why we use it and our legal basis

• To process your purchase and deliver the product — performance of a contract.
• To restore a purchase you already made — performance of a contract.
• To keep the service secure and fix problems — our legitimate interests.
• To meet tax and accounting obligations — legal obligation.

Who we share it with

• Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, which sells the product to you, handles payments, subscriptions, tax compliance, and invoicing. Paddle is the controller of the payment data it collects for those purposes.
• Service providers that host and operate the app for us.
• Professional advisers and authorities where required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including any period required by tax and accounting laws, and then delete or anonymise it. Progress stored on your device stays there until you reset it or clear your device data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our use of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. To use any of these rights, contact us and we will respond within one month.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect personal data.

Cookies

Scale Scout uses only essential browser storage to keep the game working (for example, remembering your progress and unlock on your device). We do not use analytics or marketing cookies.
